Anyone having good luck with nitrous
I thought about a blower. Thought about a 454,maybe stroked but heres the deal. I got this new 383 stroker which would hardly sell for 1/5 what I have into it if I pulled it. The only time I'm looking for a hair more umph is WOT a dozen times a year. And even at that I'm not looking for tons more so I'm thinking a mild 100 horse or se wet shot of nitrous. I know theres tons of FAQ pages around but I wonder if anyone could relay success they've had with a certain brand? I want longevity too. Thats why I'm staying on the mild side

Never used one but thought I would give you a bump to the top of the page so one of the folks who know more about the subject can see this. What I have heard though is that as long as you stay in that 75-100 hp shot or so you really don't have much to worry about as far as harming your motor. It is critical that you have enough fuel going in to support it, and as for brands it used to be that Nitros Oxide Systems (NOS) was the only game in town, but now there are so many more out there that you have to decide what one works best for you.
You also have to be careful about carrying a loaded bottle around with you in some States. I have heard stories of people getting fines and even the car impounded for having one on the street. No personal experience though, only what I hear.

FINALLY
I knew if I lived long enough I'd find one advantage to living in the hills of canukistan
Seriously,I called my builder and he said hypereutectics wouldnt take any nitrous. Well holy frig if the KB's wont take even a 100 shot just what the he11 is their advantage over stock cast? The guy I get my perf stuff from is a good friend so he's just not in it for the coin but he told me not to run it off the main fuel system. To have a seperate really small cell with electric pump. I dont get how thats safer, cause with that your car could be running but you may have a dead wire, or whatever and end up with a dry shot. To my way of thinking if your on the main fuel line if you get fuel to run the car your also garaunteed a wet shot. He didnt have time to elaborate what he meant but if anyone here could I'd appreciate

I ask a question about nitrous a while back for a big block and got a
ton of feedback..Search nitrous by rdobbs and you will find it....I
had it on my 383, and have it on my 496 but to be honest with you
I never felt it necessary to hit the button....I do have a separate
pump and line regulator, guage, etc. I would not want to run it off
the same line as your regular fuel line....My builder was right when
he said if you find time to hit the nitrous button on the 496 blown
with stick shift, give him a call....I haven't called him yet about
hitting that button.

Sooper, there are guys on here that have used it with success, and some have
destroyed engines...I think an engine should be built for the jolt nitrous has on
the engine..If I new more about it I could answer your question, but seriously
speaking, I am kinda afraid of it.....I sure would hate to destroy an expensive
engine thru my ignorance..The guys at Nitrous Oxide.com could probably answer
any questions you may have.
