383 stroker piston fiction factors??.
Here is the question??.It is stated that as the stroke increases,piston to wall fiction increases and to ask for thinest cross section piston metric ring packs.

thinner rings over time seam not to be very good for street miles i seen were the oil rails get plug up . if a hi RPM then yes you look at all of this and more . the crank your looking to put in the 350 is a 3.750 this is the same as the 400 chevy built and they ran fine for many miles with the 5/64 rings your stroker engine are going to travel more distants in the bore so there going to be more friction thinner ring s will free up some i would not wast any more money for any thing smaller then a 1/16 1/16 3/16 ring pack for street use and you could go low tension oil rings there some valve train stuff were you can free up power and in the oil pan as well and heat controll as wellLast edited by pat mccarthy; 08-31-2010 at 11:29 PM.
