    1984 crossfire vette

Tired of hearing EVERYONE call it a cease fire system... the computer is what sucks... but anyway... what i got...
    84 that looks stock
what a stock 84 crossfire is
    205 hp 290ft-lb of torque
    what i did...
    pulled the engine and trans
had it bored and stroked by rhyne competition engines
    comp cam
    iron eagle s/s heads
    Hypereutectic flat top pistons
    forged and balanced 400 crank
    enlarged throttle bodies
    true 90lb injectors
ham module with a 127747 and ebl flash board
plated of my egr valve cause no more emissions..
hd clutches in the trans... and then i tuned it myself.. then blew up my trans...
but before i did i did beat this brand new cts-v in a friendly light to light comp by 4 car lengths... now i gotta get the internals from a 4l65... because i destroyed the planetaries.. both sets... the sprag gear... and the reflex housing... the governor... and 15 other pieces....literally

That car is 4200 lbs and has 556 HP . Your car is some where around 3400 so unless what you did earned you 300 hp I would say you were the only one running from light to light.
C4's are good cars for the 80's but technology passed them up quick in the late 80's. Good car for the money and easy to work on but not buying it will out run a CTS-V

In your profile you mention that it is a 383 with 500 horsepower.I'd have to see a dyno sheet to swallow that one. What kills a crossfire's performance is the intake.Way way too restrictive to see anywhere near 500 horses, especially on a 383.

pay for the dyno run and i will.. considering a stock 700r4 has a regular capacity of 400hp.. i had the parts in it professionally replaced by a chevy dealer with their HD plate setup to hold 450... all i can offer you is my ebl flash quarter mile time of 10.92 at 125mph.. cause they wont give me my slip...

oh yea.. and your speaking when i didnt tell you my bore.. fuel pressure.. what manifold i have... my car is 3200lb stock.. no exhaust.. cam lobe or duration... compression ratio... if you want to know everything.. buy it.. this is what im talking about... there is a reason i get upset, your ignorance is apparent... the 308 crossfire motor was based off the cross-ram design of the late 60's used exclusively for racing applications and the reason they call it restrictive is because the original design did not fit under the corvette hood so they made it 40% smaller... which is fixed with today's technology crossfire intake manifolds available... i have built this car up every winter since i purchased it... its 1000lbs lighter then a cts-v, a cts-v is a sedan, i never said it wasn't a nice car... you need to evaluate what you don't know before you start faking like you do...

Yea, the appartment in the movie isnt actually in calumet city.. but the music store used to be right down the street from where i live.. its long gone now though... i got more pics of the trans but i want to get it back together first then imma line all the broken pieces up for a few pride shots and i will post those.. front and rear planitaries.. reflex shell... sprag assembly... all destroyed.. im going to put the parts from a 4l65E in my 4l60(thm700r4) its supposed to handle 600 that or a 4l60E-HD... pretty much the same thing but they are both computer controlled so i want to see what fits and what i can change for i go wasting my money...

well i got 2 times.. its a 3.5 with dunlop sport 8000's and i drop a tenth with the bfgoodrich g-force t/a drag radials i got.. so a 3.4.. it feels like riding on the street though... and it blew my transmission like i said... the motors got 9 grand in it.. when i payed 2900 for the car when i bought it... time and money i spend its good to get results even if everyone and their mom talks crap about crossfire...

    Interesting post -

The 2006 Z06 was probably the best Corvette ever built. The LS7 is certainly one heck of a small block and definitely the most technologically-advanced small-block ever built with 505 horsepower and 470 ft/lbs torque, a 7,000 RPM red line. dry sump oiler, titanium rods, etc., etc., etc..

It weighs in at 3130 (sans driver and fuel) and with a professional driver on tires that cost a grand a piece it runs a 3.5 second 0-60 time (in first gear) and a 11.5 quarter mile at 127 miles per hour.

You can buy an LS7 crate motor (GM part number 17802397) for $14,195, plus shipping.

Maybe GM should call DeRock25 and have him come to work for them as he's able to get better performance than GM factory for a lot less money, eh? Just sayin...
