305 for a hot rod. WHY?

There's been an awful lot of people on here lately that think they're being "different" by keeping their small displacement engine and they all think with the right tweaking it will be as good or better than a 350.
Reality check. It ain't gonna happen.
Why do so many "different" people get this idea?
I thought of a few reasons and put them in the poll above. I have a 305 in one of my cars so I'll check off that last reason. If you can think of another one share it with us

The only thing better than cubic inches is more cubic inches. There is no replacement for displacement. Hey Al, you left out the choice of "I read too many car magazines and I beleive the garbage the write about"

I gotta agree with dave, the only thing better than big is bigger, in an engine at least.
