Dave, back in the early 70's I raced a 67 camaro with 327CI small journal with 283 steel crank 13.5 cr trw full floaters don't remember cam specs but it was a factory GM solid lift. It scared more guy's at the line then it beat because I would hold the rev at 7500 to 8000 at staging, man would that thing launch hard,it would sit on the wheelies bars thru 2 shifts, carry the wheels 2 to 3 feet off the ground the whole time. rev limiter was set at 9500. I had to tear it down every other week and replace brg and rod bolts. Boy was that fun................lol
