Something to consider while pondering rocker box covers, i bet you'll wind up with jesel. Only a few covers have enough clearance. I know of nothing vintage, they are all too narrow. I got a beautiful old set of weiand finned i'd offer up but they won't work for either stud girdle nor jesel.

they make cast spacers for the covers so they still can be use or if he can not find any i know some guy on here all the time that canhas for the jessel or T&D. there nice. with 7/16 studs and a good rocker arm with a Jomar bar he can make this work . would a shaft rocker be nice yes but he can get by with out it is up to him it is dave money if your thinking there not wide enough please explain ? every thing has to fit inside of the oil rails of the head . springs rockers Jomar bars . so the covers should not be to narrow. rockers are just 1.6 and springs would be a 1.550 pac spring so were would they hit ? if needed to be taller you use a spacer i done it many time s on the bbc
