    I suggest you couldn't use the stock fuel injection with out mods.It's kind of the reason behind the link I left for you.In that are companies that do use some of the stock parts that have been mod'ed.

    I too would love to be able to afford a Edelbrock system.But I am convinced a EFI system can be had and effective for a 383 reasonably.That it worth the effort for the benefits it offers over carbs.

    One tip I can give you is to be careful buying old Edelbrock systems that are not supported by them any longer.The other one is the Fast Systems is everytime I looked at that is seemed to get a complete system,it nickeled/dime you to the same costs or more than the ones that sold a complete system in the first place.
