Precisely. The 350/260 hp Mercruiser/ Volvo is one of the most popular recreational engines out there, and made to peak out at 4600 rpms, just exactly what you are seeking. You generally cruise at about 75% full throttle anyway (about 3000-3500 rpms) so the cam profile and all the other parts were engineered by MC and the others to run economically and perform well at those speeds. I just noticed that you are running a Carter carb, these originally had Quadrajets on them. What intake are you running?
