    Tbi 350, Please help

I replaced my intake today on my 94 z71 and now im not gettin fuel. Pour gas in the throttle body and it fires right up. And I can hear the pump humming. It was fine when i started on this project last night. So im wondering if its the fuel filter or if not, can the throttle body not be workin right. Please help me out. Shes my daily driver.

Did you bleed the system? If you did not, search online for your vehicle and the instructions.

First order of business is get a fuel pressure gauge on it and make sure its within specs, (9-13 lbs) . If you cant get a gauge, take the return line loose @ the throttle body and have somebody crank the engine over and see if it will squirt fuel out of the fitting on the throttle body (make damed sure you don't have a spark source such as a bad ignition wire) if it will squirt fuel that tells you its got nuff pressure to get thru the pressure regulator in the throttle body and should be enuff to run. If this thing ran before you worked on it then more than likely you screwed up somewhere along the way such as a missed connection or a missed ground wire. Again if you check it by taking the return line loose make sure you don't have an ignition source and have a fire extinguisher at the ready.

Ok, well the ignition control module was not plugged in. Plugged it in and now its getting fuel. The injectors seem to be working right. Now it starts up and then dies immediately.

If you have a key with a chip in it change keys---

Also try running it on starting fluid to verify that the ignition is working

You never have to bleed these systems. May be the theft control as Jerry refered to. but more than likely if it will run with your foot on the throttle it will be a gummed up idle control (I.A.C.) they do that because the seat is gummed up and it can't re home it self. Remove it from the throttle body (don't loose the o-ring) use carburetor cleaner and clean the pintle up then use carb clean and an old toothbrush to clean the seat in the throttle body. Put it back together and you should be good to go. It may take a minute of stumbling to clear the carb clean out, when she smooths out see if it will now idle. If it will drop it in gear and let it re learn the idle.
