push rod length
Hey guys I brought this up awhile back about pushrods I finally got it back together I don't have length checker yet but I done the sharpie trick on a couple of valves and my marks are dam near dead center my question is this method reliable and is that where my marks should be? Thanks a ton for any help

CarCraft says - If the pushrod length is correct, the witness mark should be located on the inboard third of the valve-stem tip. If the witness mark is too close to the intake side of the valve-stem tip, the pushrod is too short. If the witness mark is in the middle or toward the exhaust side of the valve-stem tip, then the pushrod is too long.

i check every thing at mid lift and you should be at center only at mild lift. i use a ferry head made checker .it will do all rockers T&D jesels .and stud mounts with roller tip. steel stamp rockers i use lay out on the valve stemIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

I seen that that's why I'm confused patriot recomends .100 longer for their valves but it seems ok or if anything too long

may things come in to play on push rods it not that cut and dry . rockers. cam. cam lift. longer valvesIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
