    exhaust header help

    I have a early 70's chevy 400 sb
it is in a 67 chevelle. My problem is I can't find headers that will fit between the steering shaft without doing some work to the tubing. I have a old set of cast iron that will fit. Was hoping to find something better. Any ideas

any bbc 9800 deck or sbc will fit in a A body GM frame from 66 s to 70s is the same headers for bbc 9800 deck that covers from 396 to 582 any CID in a 9.800 can be had, bigger headers can be had as well for taller deck blocks abit harder to find. same with any sbc 9000deck with stock heads so if you have a tube that is hitting you have the wrong headers or wrong frame mounts or all the above
