What doyou have for head gaskets????/there are differances---for instance---if you had LT1 type gaskets for reverse cooling---

the right side will run somewhat cooler because of the bypass hole from the water pump up into the cylinder head on that side

also there are different intake manifold gaskets altho most have some different bolt patterns---you didn't have to make some different holes???

If you are running a standard water pump with the serpentine belt drive, I believe your water pump is rotating backwards. This will allow the passenger side to cool pretty normally, but cut off circulation on the driver side almost completely. I think 86' Camaro's had serpentine belt drive, at least for some of the engine driven accessories.

hey guys that have been trying to help me. I appericate all of your input. My head gaskets are felpro #1013 and intake gaskets are felpro 1205. THe water pump is standard flow but the serp belt still turns the pump the right direction. The good news is, is that I got it fixed!!! I bet you never heard of this. I changed the cam and lifters and there was a temp change of 40 degrees. IN all of my years of building motors and working on cars i have never seen this and I will probably never see it again. Once again thank you for all of your input. I think that we all learned something here. Thank goodness this is over!!
