Just curious
I have finished my motor and the specs are Chevy 383, lunati 00010, KB -12cc dish hyper, Dart Iron Eagle Platinum 64cc w/ 200cc runner, Performer Air Gap Intake, and Edelbrock 750 carb. My dyno software is showing 455HP and 416TQ at 5500 rpm. This seems way too high. Can you give me real expectations? Thank you,

Not knowing what that cam is (and too lazy to go look) I'd say your software is a tad off. If the block work is all correct, zero decked, etc, and if the cam and the rest of the valve train is up to the task, could be close to those numbers, but I'd say they came from some very optimistic software!!!! What does the CR come out to? Why the hypereutectic pistons? They don't really live too long in a 400+ horse environment.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

That cam has the same specs as a CC 280 Magnum, a cam that I run in my 383. Good choice! With AFR 190 heads, mine made 450 hp and 468 ft. lbs on the dyno. So I would say you are within 3- 5 per cent of your hp number, but I would figure that 3-5 per cent less than 455 hp. Most DD Dyno numbers are a little on the high side. If your engine runs anything like mine, you won't be able to wipe the smile from your face!

Thank you. I was trying for around 400HP and 400 ft. lbs.
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
