Thanks Pat. I have no plans on reving it to 7500 on a stock crank and rods. I will look into other comparable brands. I was also considering the dart heads.

take a look at Pro-Filers 180s.. well .. stock crank will take that very mild up grade on rods just to be on the safe side trw pistons are to heavy move to a mahle piston. but just saying.... your hyd roller would not work to small.to be happy you would have to run a short valving lifter . rev kit to hold the lifter on cam . at this point move to solid roller and move up on CR 12to1 now you have something that will not like driving around under 3500 . but past that hang on. if your looking for heads you can pm me if you like

the rpm of bigger head 220? if you went to the bigger port runner you may find that lower rpm power may not be there as if you use a smaller port head . so with a bigger port runner you may find your self past the rpm range of you cam .maybe more to the point valve train /your roller lifters .many have used stock roller lifters past 6000rpm. but they make a short valving lifter more or less a soild roller lifter . it has min travel for pre load .this lifter helps you run a bigger valve spring to help keep lifter on the cam for more rpm this lifter help keep valve float down were with a stock lifter the valving can have over 060 in the lifter when they float or start to pump up you have a better chance valve train not all bent or busted off

A little off topic... Pat, what aluminum head would you recommend for the street if the engine was a 327, mild cam? (currently have stock double camel humps). Thanks

Parts have been arriving all week. I will start putting the engine back together on friday. I have a couple of question. For a roller cam installation should I use cam lube or just oil? When I am checking piston to valve clearence and finding my push rod length should I use the springs I will be using or the light weight springs. Thanks.
