Help Selecting NEW Heads
I have a 1969 Camaro that I drive maybe 200 miles a year. I am looking for some more power but do not want to give up too much of my low end torque. What are some good options for well priced heads for my car. It would be great if some one could help me understand a few options I have from Summit and how it will change the performance/hp & torque curves. Most of my driving is from 0-60mph on the streets around my house. I am mostly interested in having good power from 2,000-6,000 rpm and not just top end. Thank you for your help. Here is what I currently have.
Block is a SBC 350 30 over.
1. Heads are 782461 Large Camel Heads. Original hi-perf or fuelie heads. 1.94/1.50. 62-64cc.
I have no idea what the intake/exhaust runner volume is of these stock heads. I like how the car drives now with low end torque but it dies off around 5,000rpm.
2. Cam is Lunati Hydraulic Roller Tappet Camshafts 50156. 2,000-6,500 RMP. 290/300 duration. .510/.525 Lift. 110 lobe seperation.
3. Pistons are from here flatlanderracing.com/trwchevy350.html. H669P-30. 5.7" Rod. 355 CID. 9.73 compression at 64cc. Flat Top.
4. Carb is a Holley 80508-1 Model 4160 750 CFM.
5. Air gap intake, long tube headers, MSD6AL, Roller Rockers. 700r4 trans with 3.73 rearend,
