350 Small Block Powersteering bracket help

Hello everybody! Im new to the forums. I just had a question about the powersteering bracket i just bought for my 350 small block. Everything mounted up right on the lower bracket, but when i went to put the top bracket on, it said to mount it to the water pump. There seems to be no place i can mount it to the water pump. The powersteeing pump is also on the drivers side. Can you guys please help me out with this. Thanks!

First, welcome to the forum!! Without seeing pictures or any diagram that may have accompanied the bracket, my best guess is that they mean to use one of the water pump mounting bolts dual purpose. If you look at the "Images for small block chevy power steering pump" on this Google page there are two or three showing the bottom bolt of the driver's side pump mount for the brace - https://www.google.com/search?q=smal...hrome&ie=UTF-8

Some of those chebby pumps had a mount cast in for the P.S. mount to swivel on. I can't seem to locate a picture of one at the moment tho'...

ANyway, welcome aboard and we.re hoping you can share some pics of your project when you've a chance!!

Try this link. Edelbrock 8811 : Edelbrock Victor Aluminum Water Pump - SB Chevy - Standard Rotation - Long-Style Pump - 5/8" Pilot Shaft

This pump has the cast in mount where the P.S. mount hinges, just below the pump mounting bolt..

Does that look like what you're needing?

If you have or get the TALL or LONG water pump it has mounting holes taped in it BUT It may move your pullies out of line. The P/S pump dose belong on the Dr. side bottom.

P/S pumps on SBC mount lower driver side. Some on water pump some on brackets...I made the brackets for my big block but here are some pictures if they will help.. There are several different water pumps some have mounting lugs on them on both sides sone just on one side. It takes a bit of research ..You may be better off heading out to a salvage yard and seeing what you can find...If it were me I'd pop hoods on older pickups with SBC 's in them Good luck and WELCOME to CHR
