283 pistons
Okay just got good news from the machine shop that my standard bore 283 checks out good ,and they should only have to go 030. on the cylinders. The problem now is finding a good piston to run. From what I can tell there are not alot of opitions out there for a 283 anymore. This is not going to be a race engine just a crusier in a 63 chevy truck.I was going to put eagle I beam rods in it with the crank turend 010. 305 heads small Voodoo cam ,headers ,aluminum intake with a 600 cfm.Looks like my only options are Sealed power cast pistons or KB Hypereutectic pistons.Would the sealed power work okay or would you suggest I go with the KB ,or is there another option that I am missing?
Thank You
Jim

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
