Engine popping when first started
I just had a 350 Chevy built by pros and when it is first started it has loud popping out the tail pipes until it gets warm. Then it will not idle acts fuel starved.
Mechanics are stumped any ideas whats wrong????

Carb????????/type and size-fuel pump??????????electric/manual/pressure regulator????????Headers????????Dist timing??? firing order???/crossed wires?????????
Spray some starting fluid into to see if it helps( I've made my wifes car start/run on her mothers hair spray once when the fuel pump went bad----------

Valves set properly? Ignition timing? Air : Fuel Mixture?

My first thought was valves, but vacuum leak sounds more likely..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
