Needing a little help on this one........
Im going to try and make this as short as possible but here goes, I have a 99' Chevy 1500 with a carbureted 350 swap. About a month ago I unknowingly filled my tank up with gas that, to my best guess was about half water. After a week or two of just driving my truck on the weekends I finally burned the gas down to almost empty. I filled the tank with fresh GOOD gas and added a can of sea-foam. It ran okay for a day or two and then started running like pure crap... I realized I forgot to drain the carb and the fuel lines to get the rest of the water out..... So, I did, and replaced my filters a then refilled the tank, with another can of sea-foam. It runs better now but I have a weird hesitation taking off from a stop and while cruising at one speed. The whole truck bucks like the engine is cutting off and starting back with every turn of the motor. As long as I'm accelerating the truck runs better than it ever has! Ive checked my plugs and wires. They're all practically brand new, I did my annual tune up about a month before my problems started. I even went ahead a replaced my cap and rotor since they are still under warranty. I'm at a loss on this one, and lord know my wife is tired of me spending money! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think I would look at cleaning the carb. Probably got junk from water and sea foam into carb. Sea foam is good but may have dislodged crap in tank. How was the filter when you changed it??Charlie

Thank you for the response, I actually pulled the carb off and cleaned the crap out of it yesterday. As for the filter it was completely gummed up so it got a new one yesterday with the carb cleaning..

Filters when they get clogged will let crap pass by. The inside of the carb catches it then blocks passages causing all kinds of problems. Is it any better now?Charlie

It's still the same. Some people that have been giving me advice pointed out that a lot of my problems started when I bought this new carb. I think it's just a coincidence, but they think I should junk this carb and get a new one. Any thoughts on that? Have you ever heard of a "bad" carb? It's a new holley 600cfm with non-adjustable floats

Are you using the fuel pump in the tank and if so have you checked the pressure?Ken Thomas

Not to be nit-pickle, but did you take the carburetor completely apart? Your symptoms could definitely be caused by a little piece of crud in the jets or any one of a whole group of tiny orifices. Can you put the original carb back on and see if the problem goes away? If such is the case, I's advocate a complete rebuild - even though it's new - to include new gaskets.
Good Luck,
