The other thing you could do is duct tape your son to the wheel and.... oh never mind -you're wife would never go for this one even though you son would remember it for the rest of his life"Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil

Ha ha ha! you guys are too funny!
I agree that the gears are too tall, but why wouldn't (or shouldn't) I just do a ring and pinion swap? I have never done one, but is it really that hard?

You can find a YouTube video on just about anything these days. Here's on on doing a ring & pinion swap on a GM 10 bolt just to give you an idea of what you'd be getting into - How to install or change or replace gears and bearings in a rear end or differential - YouTube If you have a good 4X4 shop in the area, where the Jeep & Off-Road 4WD guys go they change out gears on a regular basis and are a good place to go to ensure proper setup (note I said a "good" 4x4 shop).Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
