    vin code.. help please!!

    Hi!
I have a 3970010 block that i got from a friend when i trew a rod in my 327.. It runs Great with edelbrock heads, mean camshaft and three holley 94's..
I had a sticker on the side of the block from some engine-shop in canada, don't really remember what the name was.. It was painted green (if it's to some help)
But now to the big question!!
I can't figure out anything from the vin code! Can you??
    It says: T7113C and VO703TKF
    Thanks!

First, welcome to CHR, and I hope you find what you're looking for here and that you stick around for a while. Those are not numbers that will tell you anything. You need the block casting number, located on the driver's side rear, just behind the head. Format will be either a six or seven digit number. Visual location and partial list of numbers here, and you'll find a bunch of number lists by Googling - V8 Chevy Engine Block Casting Number Location and List - Chuck's Chevy Truck Pages.com

Welcome to CHR enjoy your stay...Your engine is a 75 350. basic Chevy van or truck engine. 145 or 165 HP depending if it had a 2 or 4 brl carb. when new. Could be 2 or 4 bolt main. Nothing special if it has had work done then its any bodies guess.

Sorry, I missed the number that you lead off with and focused on the last two. Like Charlie says, it could be a 350 from '69 to '80, but it looks to me like it could also be a 302 from a '69 Camaro or 327 from a '69 truck. Your "3970010" is listed on three lines in the linked list. If the other numbers are from the VIN, and if you know the position of the numbers you might be able to decode it from something like this - http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Vehicle...)/GM/VIN_Codes
