    still having rocker issues!!

last weekend I changed all my rockers with new 1.5 steel roller tips, and replaced all my push rods with stock rods. My heads are #14102193 TBI swirl ports, yes I know the poop on them! Their on an 86 GMC 4WD used around town and for towing. So any6 way I cant seem to get the rocker noise to go away. I took a couple rockers off, and found only the exhaust rockers were hitting the retainer slightly, because they are different than the intake retainers. I replaced the exhaust rockers back to the stock self aligning rockers I had, and still have that rocker bang when I get near another car or curb. I'm lost here!! Should I even be running self aligning rockers on these heads?? I am not running guide plates. I'm going to have a freind look at it and see if he can tell me my problem, so I can get it fixed before she breaks something.

Roller rockers make noise, adjust as normal and realize your motor has a new sound.
I have two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it
