I put the new pan on today and that seems to have solved the problem. At idle the pressure stays at 45 psi and when you accelerate the pressure goes to 55 - 60 psi and stays there. I'll take it to the track this weekend and see what happens. I don't have the know how or the money at this time to have someone completely tear down my engine to check it out, so hopefully their are no other issues with it that will cause a serious problem down the road.
