Best rods for a 383
I am working a 383 and I want to get a set of rods that will require the least amount of clearancing, I will probably be a SCAT rod unless there is something better.
I am thinking about a set of "Pro Comp" rods, they look like the would be about the best. They are way overkill for my app, I am looking for a 5.700" bushed rod. The PC rods are a little more then I want to spend but if they take less work to fit there worth it.
Thanks for any help.

Just to be clear, you're talking about the SCAT ProComp Rod, and not a rod made by the company "Procomp", right? Link to SCAT's product - Scat Crankshafts
Just trying to prevent your thread taking off down the negative Procomp trail.Roger

Yes I was talking about the Scat rod, I did not even know there was a Procomp brand rod. I bought a new Scat crank and would like to stick with Scat rods unless there is something better but not too expensive out there, I am on a limited budget.

Casey, I'm not aware that Procomp Motorsports makes rods, either, but there are folks that see "ProComp" and immediately start bashing the name, referring mainly to ProComp heads. ProComp makes, or used to make, a line of heads, valve covers, front covers, etc, etc based out of Australia, using China castings. Just clarifying to try to keep the discussion focused on the SCAT product line, ProComp rod line. Hoping one of the engine guru's will jump in and give you some advice or direction.Roger
