1992 305 tbi system on a 1977 350 carb engine
Hi,
today i pulled out the engine from my 79 gmc vandura.
while disconnecting the wires and such i noticed the engine was a newer type
305 with tbi, i did not know about this as i just gotten the van and havent come arround to checking the entire van. i bought a 350 carb from an old caprice. but as the entire sytem wires and such are made for the tbi, i was thinking if it is possible to put the tbi on the 350 block. would this be good or would the system be to small(i mean like the manifold, and tbi body would they be up for the task to give the 350 enough fuel) should i look for a bigger tbi intake and throttle body if you can get it at all, (no expirience with tbi yet) someone told me i will have to drill new holes for the center bolts for the manifold as they are different then a carb intake. are there other things i should keep in mind?
