1969 chevy block
HELP!!! The code on the right cylinder head is "V0826WH". All i can find is that it is a 69 model block. Book said either 350 from a 69 pickup, or a 302 from a 69 camaro. It is a 4 bolt main. Can someone straiten me out here??? Thanks!!!Last edited by WILDMAN 4180; 02-09-2015 at 05:13 PM. Reason: MIS POSTED CODE

Welcome to CHR!
Don’t think you've got a ’69 302 as they were all DZ codes. Other factory 302 codes are: MP, MO, MI, CAN and CNB. I’m not familiar with KU other that it being a rear end code for 1967 Chevelles. Could you post the entire number and maybe a picture?

You might consider running an ad in Hemmings Motor News and see if you get any bites.

Okay here's the decipher:
V = Assembled in Flint, MI
08 = August
26 = 26th day of the month
WH = was used in 1966 for 283 Powerglide transmission, 1968 for 307 manual transmission and in 1969 for 350 manual transmission.
WH suffix was only used for truck - never in a production car. If it has a 3.875" bore x 3.00" stroke it is a 283. A 3.875" x 3.25" is a 307 and a 4.00" bore it is a 350."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil

But did they ever cast a 4 bolt main in a 283 or a 307?

No - if you have verified it's a 4 bolt, it's from a 1969 350 truck."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil
