Suffix Code - What can solve this 1957 mystery?
Casting code: 3731548 (1957 283 small block)
Engine Assem / Suffix Code stamp: FI02F
From what I understand (correct if wrong please):
1) F = Flint plant
2) "I" was actually a "1" in the 50's code stamps
3) Therefore manufacture date is Jan, 2nd 1957
What is the F suffix code? Is it powerglide? Any idea what car this was out of?
