    Spark is good!

    Crank for five seconds. Then hop out and break loose the fuel line. ( at carb ) You should get a little burst of fuel, not much, just a squirt. It will verify fuel to carb.

    Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

    Or simply remove the air cleaner, look down the carb throat and cycle the throttle linkage by hand full stroke. You should see a strong shot of raw gas from the accelerator pump nozzles, which tells you that the float bowl is charged with fuel.
