    Chevy 350 swap distributor problems

Ok so I bought a 1990 Chevy z71 with a blown up engine with the intentions of fixing it so I bought a new engine out of a 1984 c10 and put it on it with a carburetor instead of throttle body and I got everything to match up except the distributor the 1990 model uses a 4 pin plug while the 84 model uses a 2 female plug and there are 4 wires on the wiring harness and I need to know how to make the 4 wires go into the 2 to get the distributor to work it has 2 plugs and one matched up but this second one did not

Welcome to CHR. Can you use the distributor out of your old 1990 engine in the replacement '84, to match up to your in car harness? If not, can you swap out the ignition modules between the two distributors to match your harness?

No I don't think so and I can't use the old distributor I was wanting to know how to rewire the 4 wires onto a 2 prong plug because the plug on it now is just 2 female clips so I could just wire 2 wires on each and put them on but I'm not sure which go to which and I tried using only the hot ignition wire but that didn't work

Now That's a good link! Looks to me like you need the module from the 2010 to match your harness plugs.
