ignition upgrade
Have a 327 that runs pretty good but the ignition is old ,looking for either a new distributor or an ignition upgrade kit . Thinking about a pertronix unit . The price is pretty descent . Bought a new accel high vibation coil .Thought of getting a new accel distibutor also which is a better choice . I want something that will last. Any good idea's?

If it was me, i would go with the accel distributor. I have heard very few sad stories, and seen them in a lot of decent cars. Me, i usually just get a OEM solid state distributor, put a new cap and rotor on it and a good coil, but thats me. Go with the accel.Right engine, Wrong Wheels

The Petronix will work great if the rest of your distributor is in good shape. How are the bushings, gear, advance mechanism, etc.???Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

The distributor is excellent shape . bushings ,gear and vacuum advance works perfect. But it has an electronic ignition conversion kit that is old that I don,t trust.
I wore a camouflage T-shirt once. The response in the pub was "Oooh, it's a floating head!" .
