327 starter and dust cover
I'm looking for a good starter for my 1968 327. It has a 153T flywheel. Would like to find a full size stock looking starter. The powermaster listed on Summit has 2 good reviews. But the same model number on the web has mixed reviews. Anyone have a recommendation?
I'm also looking for an inspection plate. In the immortal words of Socrates..."I drank what?"

I like NAPA for these type purchases - like Charlie says - any problems are quickly dealt with on the spot.
NAPA Part #2464859 - w/Solenoid, fits automatic transmission on-line reservation price is $52.72 plus a $22 core. Order it up, take your old one in and skip the core charge and bingo! You're good to go

Thanks cffisher and glennsexton. I will check out napa. I don't have an old one but that's not a problem. Is there a difference in drive-end nose pieces between automatic's and manual? I have a manual transmission. In the immortal words of Socrates..."I drank what?"

NAPA shows 2464791 for manual - don't know what the difference is (maybe pitch of the teeth on flywheel versus flexplate?).
I was looking at 1968, 327 Impala but in that generation they're pretty much interchangeable."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil
Thank you Roger. .
