    engine id decoding

     



    hi guys
    i have chevy in my 38 that i am not to sure of
    any help you can give would be great
    casting no is 14010207 which i think is 80-85 350 ci truck or car stick shift
    stamping no is VO 315 TKK the 3 could also be a 2 or an 8 as stamped over this is a smaller fount number of CA112

    Here's the suffix code address....
    Decoding small block Chevy engine suffix codes and stamped numbers: TJT - TXB
    Your TKK is a '78 or '80 350 truck motor, Regular Production Order LS9, 4-bbl, 165 horsepower. (low static compression ratio motor, so avoid a lumpy cam unless you raise the static compression ratio)
