I would absolutely love to have a sb 400 but the ones I can find are bare blocks that need honed and bored. And I do not have money for pistons, crank, connecting rods, machine work, maybe sometime in the future I will get a bigger engine but for now I would like to stick with a 305 or 350. And in this situation the 305 does seem to be the better choice in the conditions of each engine
