I have a oil pump rod that I pot in my 1/2 drill and run it slow until oil comes out of the pushrod ends. Always have and it seems to aid in the start up lubrication process. I also soak new hydraulic lifters over night in 30 weight oil - again, always have and it certainly helps in the initial pump up for the lifters."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Nope, I have just done a few cylinders random, just to verify that there wasn't any wonky patterns.
Again, if there is any serious angle problems that would cause you concern, it's usually an expensive fix to move a lifter bore to correct a bad angle. And GM - Ford Chrysler, etc etc got really good years ago at producing a reliably square product. Otherwise cars would be worn out before 100K miles like they used to back in the 60's & 70's.
