could be a number of things
    pump
    pickup
    bearings
oil is broken down- fuel in oil
did you disconnect the gauge and check it with a pressure gauge?

Change the oil, examine it for metal shavings. replace it with 20/50 or 40 wt. If it's still low you may need an oil pump or a total rebuild. Good luck

I HAVE A BAD FEELING THAT IT'S YOUR CAM BEARINGS! THAT WILL MAKE YOUR OIL PRESSURE DROP. I WOULD CHECK THE SIMPLE THINGS FIRST!

First off you say its a crate motor does' it have some warranty on it if its a crate? But when you said its fine "till you get on it" are you saying it only does it when the cars moving and you nail it?

because that would indicate a pickup problem if you are.

yup Id say its the pickup for sure,When you get on it the oil that is at pump level will quickley get pumped to the top of the motor and leaves the pump sitting high and dry. Did you have the pickup tack welded to the pump?

IF YOU DON'T HAVE A RACING TYPE PAN ON IT THAT WOULD BE A CRIME FOR SURE! ALSO IF YOU HAVE A HIGH VOLUME OIL PUMP IN IT ,IT WILL ACUALLY SUCK THE PAN DRY OF OIL AT HIGH RPM'S. IF THAT IS THE CASE THAN YOU WILL NEED TO PUT A ACCUMILATOR ON IT! I HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE OF THIS BECAUSE IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME!

    Some questions
1.) What was happening when you noticed it? Right after running 6500 RPMs ? Right after a 4 hour road trip?

2.) How many miles on it since it was installed?

3.) Are there any other issue that started at the same time? Any no matter how small, a hesitation, dead spot or vibration that was not there before.

Just cause a engine was built by pro does not mean a mistake was not made. There are so many things that can go wrong. Most involve mis comunication. Example: Tech thinks he is installing a rod bolt made from a steel that can handle 250,000 PSI but because the wrong part was shipped he is now over torguing a set of bolts that can only handle 150,000 PSI. Just a matter of time till those over tighened nuts come loose.

New engines can equal green castings. Green casting is a term we use when the casting still has stress in it from the casting process. If you machine a green casting they can and will move after. This could effect line bore for either the crank or the cam.

I am not trying to scare you I just want you to go into problem with a open mind. With the info you have given so far anyone of the above post could be right. Check the easy stuff first, Pull the oil filter and cut it inhalf but if you do not maintain 10 PSI of oil pressure per 1000 RPMs don't run it.

Good luck, Hopfully you have a defective oil filter

My guess would be the main bearings. Remove the oil filter, cut it open and inspect it for metal. A stroker has got to have less timing in it otherwise it will take out the mains. 32-34 degrees of total timing depending on the fuel and the compression.
Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.
