    Chevy SB intake manifold

In 64 & 65 Chevy used casting # 3844461, being an Aluminum Hi-Rise manifold W/Holly Carb on their 327/350 H.P. Corvette, and Chevelle. My question is this; Does anyone know if this manifold was ever cast with an open plenum. I seen tons of split plenums with this casting #, but not an open. Just happens there is one for sale. Sellers states this is an original..never cut. Would appreciate any info that is available. Thanks

I can only reinforce what you say about not ever seeing an open plenum manifold offered by chevy. Been through a bunch of hot rod books and never have come across one either. Maybe some of the folks that have been around longer here can shed some light on this.
I would question what the seller means by never cut? He might be mixing up a dual plane manifold with a single and means that the divider was never cut? Something to look into.
