cam bearings
I just got my block back from the machine shop after having cam bearings installed and it looks like none of the oiler holes are lined up. Are the holes in the mains and the cam bearing oil holes supposed to line up? Any advice appreciated Thanks

if the block is later than 56 then it doesnt matter or if your NOT using a wide rear bearing with two holes. there is a ring that is machined inside the journal that will allow the hole to be positioned anywhere.
i always do install the holes lining upLast edited by junior; 07-28-2004 at 03:47 PM.

You could always blow air in the main bore hole and see if air comes out of the cam bearing hole, just as a "Double check"."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.
