SBC rx 7 build up?
i have a 84 rx 7 that we are planning on swapping a SBC into with a grany's motorsport swap kit. the car only weighs around 2336 pounds. i am wanting to see what you guys recommend for a engine build up for what i want. i love torque but any SBC will have enough to launch this car. what i am looking for is a build up that will let me run to 6000 - 6500 rpms when racing and is high on horsepower. the highest compression i am going to go is 9 to 1 because we think we might go to forced induction later on. what set up would you guys run with?Last edited by pitbullgst; 08-29-2004 at 07:48 PM.

i've never heard of anyone that builds 302 crate motors, seems to me your best bet would be to get a 327, or 350 block, and have you a crank made to fit it, but don't take that to heart, because i really don't know right off hand
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
