    461 head question

Planning on using these heads on 350 in 32 Ford. If I don't get the valve seats replaced with hardened seats..........what might I have for issues and what might I do to alleviate these potential problems.........or do I just get the seats?
How much should I expect to pay for the seats, etc?
    Thanks

I would have to say it will be cheaper for you to go for a set of world ST heads, they have plenty of flow potential and in the long run they will be cheaper than the price of 461 +crack testing + seats + macining+new valve guides And the clincher is they are brand new and not 40 odd year old iron. If those 461 heads have still got there stck port shape ( have not been ported ) and are not cracked, they could be BIG money to the right person.

Iwould of always thought that if you used the car as a daily driver, then after a while the valves would sink in their seats. And if you used the car randomly, like in weekends the seats would last longer. Of cause that could be put down for our poor excuse to what we call fuel down here.
