    Just 'nearly' finished

    Hi guys,

Have not been on here for ages. Just finished spraying my Deuce. Well I want to flatten it again before another top coat as there are a few runs. Satin Black as I drive it almost daily and leave it parked up so any keying is easily rectifiable. Being in England it gets driven in all weathers!! I used a HVLP and sprayed 50/50 cellulose Satin and anti bloom thinners. Will soon be fitting a Rootlieb hood and torq thrust 2's.

    What dya think.

DeuceUK, that's aone cool looking hot rod (prefer hot rod to streetrod! Sits great! I planned on doing the coupe I'm building in primer too but got talked out of it by my painter! ("Hey, by the time we get it ready for primer, get the primer on, all I have to do is change guns with the shiney paint and it's done!") So, now I've got the shiney paint on it! Here's a pic, if it works!

Wink Deuce UK.......and the other guys!

Thanks guys! I gotta admit, I DO have a thing for deuces! I was going to do it as a highboy but we get hassled here (Victoria BC Canada) for no fenders, and I'd HATE to have a couple of beers one night and get pulled over for no fenders and he says, "Oh, by the way, bin drinkin???" BUSTED! SO, the fenders are being painted and they'll go on last! Anyway, about deuces, here's a pic of my roadster!

Have just found some bumpers and will be fitting them ASAP.

Thought you might like to see the Deuce on a dyno last Sunday. Drove through a blizzard to get there. Total white with snow windscreen except the wiper area.....fun fun fun!!

First one is with the kick down cable connected. This gave an at the wheels reading of: 239.1 HP @ 5109 rpm, Torque 259 ft lbs @ 4442 rpm

http://www.ahra.org.uk/images/kickdown.AVI 4.99MB and plays well on Windows Media Player.

Next one was when I disconnected the kick down cable ( keeps the box in 3rd gear for more accurate reading). This gave an at the wheels reading of 251.3 HP @ 5464 rpm, Torque 301 ft lbs @4035 rpm and a top speed of 118 mph.

    http://www.ahra.org.uk/images/nokickdown.AVI

    Here is my readout.
