re; Chassis Pic's
Hey it worked ! Well typical American thinking if a little is good a lot more has to be better, here's more. This is the right Front , Heidt's Open wheel Front End. Frame has been pinched to 20".skiball

This is a shot of the rear after installation , still have some loose ends to finish up. I'll just ask first , is it possible to attach multiple pictures in one post ?skiball

Looks like a real good start. Those engine mounts look set up for a low car.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

re; Chassis Pic's
Thanks Tech, But I cannot take all of the credit, I did not have a jig to build the frame in , and couldn't see building one for one frame. I called on Barry Lobeck ' No WebSite " if you can imagine that . Lobecks V-8 Shop and had Barry build the perimiter frame and install the front end and K-member and a " tie bar" in the rear to hold it square and then I took it from there.
I wanted a Jag rear and have used several in the past with great results. I fabedup the Rear crossmembers and brackets for the Jag and mounted them, so it's coming along slowly but surely. If we can keep the Hurricanes low key this year , that'll be a great help. So in a nut shell Credit where Credit is due. Barry and his staff do great work and is a terriffic Guy to deal with.skiball

Hey Bob good job! you noticed, I wanted more ground clearance, yes their raised 2 in. it's neat the way you made the type get smaller to emphasize low COOL that is original. but then again your a seasoned vet here at CHR. Thank you for the kind words.skiball

Bob one thing I did not mention is that the rear rails are also kicked up 2 in. Didn't want her TUSH sticking up too High. 10-4 ?skiball

Great looking chassis, Tim. Excellent work. Should handle like and overgrown slot car once you get it all dialed in.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

re; Chassis Pic's
Dave / Kenny Thanks for the kind comments Guy's , kenny I am using a Be-Bop's 32 - 3 Window, so far I'm really pleased with it , a friend of mine is a long time Body man, ( Meaning he's an Ole Fart ) and he's saw it last weekend for the first time and he was commenting on how straight the body was, and should take a minimal amount of Plastic to correct. he's built several 32's and 34's in the past, so we'll see, I'll keep you posted. Dave that's what I'm hoping for, it should ride very well being all independent.
If it looks as good as most here at CHR I'll be real Happy with it. Want to run TPI on the Small block and a 700R-4 should render good milage , the rear gear is 355:1. Thanks again !skiball

Tim, Amazing work on the frame. Thanks for the reinforcement of your selection of a small block, 700R4 and 3.55:1 rear gear; same as mine on a Brookville A-frame, although I will be using a carb. Any luck on that Model-A spreader bar? Also this is my first post since the Forum came back up, it seemed to be down for quite a long time and I wondered what happened. Your independent front suspension is truly impressive.

Jack; We are going to try to make it to Shades in Sept. but I'm sure it'll be without the Coupe, not enough time, That's where I met you , year before last, again it was a real pleasure , and you were very informative and Helpful. the Steel car , is it a Coupe ? Do you still have the Red 32 and Speedstar. How about a pic of the New Ride , I saw you at the Nat's but you were tied up with several others, will look for you in Sept .
Pro , thanks for the kind words and Info.
Don; I met a fellow from LongIsland the other night , he has a 32 Steel 5 Win Hi-Boy with a 93 Vette, TPI , 700r, and 355 gears and he saide he gets 30 MPG out on the Road, Just changed to Edelbrock Alum. Heads and it dropped to 28 MPG. Sorry for the Delay on the Spreader Bar, He's been out of town on Business, Should be back in week or two, but says he has it . and thanks for the Kind words.skiball
