    Brookville Trunk Lid Question

I finally got my gas spring mounting brackets yesterday and I'm getting ready to install them onto my Brookville 1930 Model A.

The problem is I can't figure out the bolt size of the pre drilled/tapped holes in the trunk lid. There are 2 mounting locations to choose from. It appears to be a coarse thread. 10-32 & 10-24's are too small and 1/4-20 is too big. Is it possible that our good American Brookville Roadster uses metric threads? I've emailed Brookville 3 times and no one has responded.

If anyone out there has a Brookville and knows the bolt size, your help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

I just checked the hinge mount bracket bolts and they are 1/4-28 (NF).

The trunk locking pivot bolt with allen head on the body side is 1/4-20 (NC).

The upper pivot bracket mount bolts - with slotted heads are probably 1/4-20, but could be 5/16-18 (NC).

Four year old 30-31 Brookville body fwiw.

C9X...thanks for going through the trouble of checking the thread sizes. However, the thread size I need are for the (2) 3 hole sets drilled on both sides of the inner trunk lid panel. They are used to mount gas springs or arms to keep the trunk propped open.

    Thanks Again
