Choped & Channeled 32
Hi guys
I am buying a Ravon 32 body choped! 3 in.
But i would like to have it channeled to 4 in
Ok
But here is the thing
I have never sat in a choped and chanled 32!!
I am a big guy 6 ft 265lb (ok more round then big lol)
But heck at 50 whos cares!!
Anyways how hard will it be for me to sit in there?
Anyone have one?
How do you fit?
How big are you?
Randy told me the headliner to floor would only be 37 in
Can i get a sit to sit on and not just on the floor?

I'm 6'2". Friend has a stock height 32 three window. It is pretty tight. I think I could stand a 3" chop but chop and channel - no way.
Another friend just purchased a 32 five window. Old time hot rod that had been channeled the width of the frame. I could not get in it to save my life. Incidentally, this car is in the process of getting a new chassis and original floor.
Randy makes good stuff. Call him and tell him what you want to do. I'll bet Randy can build it for you cheaper and better than you can at home.
Personally, I like the exposed frame on a 32 Ford highboy. In my book it is a crime to hide one.An Old California Rodder

Thanks bibs
Randy is making my body.
he told me chopis free
Chanled is $250
so for 4250 i was thinking about it
Hes chop is only 2 1/2 in
what do you think of a 3 1/2 or 4 inc chop and no channel job?
need all the help i can get
He will start it in Dec and to me by Feb.
I want to make this car look like a car from 1946-1950
going to make it a tribute car for my Dad
And all the other ww2 and later Vets.
Things like his Divison and rank on the can and a pin up he had with him in ww2 as a 17 yr old put that on the dash
Well anyways that is what i am thinking
But here is the kicker
I need A/Cand heat how do i hide it?
I saw a pic of a guy that ran a a/c off his drive shaft and put the unit in the trunk
What do you all think
Its to Hot here in So Cal been 101 to 105 the last 3 weeks!
Thanks again Dave]

Hey Davey;
Sounds like you getting ready to be busy, I had originally planned a 2 " Channel on my Coupe but decided against it when I sat on a seat on the floor (Pontiac Fiero Seats fit really well )and Measured to where the roof would be and only had 2 " clearance, so decided against it. I asked several channeled fellas at the Nationals and they had a good point IF you ever decide to sell it you really limited to the under 6 Ft group. The Tribute to your Dad is a Super Idea. I'm sure you'll make him Proud. The Idea of the A/C on the Driveshaft is inovative, but you said you were in So. Calif. Won't cool worth a flip setting in traffic on the Freeway or at a light. How do you mean " Hide it " ? Wouldn't hurt to insulate it real well either , especially with Temps in the 100s. Good luck Timskiball

My idea of Maximum Chop is to have the window size just big enough to get your widest part of your body through.....think about it. If that suckers on fire and those doors are stuck shut, what you have there is a Hot Coffin.....

Well then i would have to have a roadster!!! hahaha
Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
