New Age Class Action Suit
I am considering ordering a 32 5-window coupe from New Age, I have been told that there is a class action suit against New Age. Has anyone heard this and know what the details are?
Thanks

Have not heard anything. Friend built one for a customer. The car came out nice. But it was a difficult build. An Old California Rodder

Do not know if your interested but I talked to wescott at the louisville nats, they said they would have a 5 window body in 4 to 6 weeks, I have their 3 window no complaints at all.

I've just finished a 5 window using a New Age body, and admittedly it was a lot of extra work because of the poor detailing and finishing on the glassing, but it turned out fine. I've talked to Ed at New Age several times about the problems and I'm convinced he is an honest buisnessman / hot rodder who had a bad partner that cut corners, and now Ed and his son are doing everything they can to fix the problems. The last thing I heard from him a few weeks ago was that they had gone over the molds etc and fine tuned everything, so the problems that I had have been eliminated. That siad, I too have talked to Dee Wescott about their new 5 window body and judging by their other bodies I would say the 5 window will be a good one. I also have a 32 roadster and it's a Wescott body, and it's been on the road (and I mean ON the road!) for eight years and it still looks as good as it did when I built it. I'd bet that there will be at least about a 4-5 thousand dollar difference in price between NAM and Wescotts.I've got good pics of my coupe if you want some. Being close freinds with the guys at New Age, I can honestly tell you there is no class action suit, But it is a fact that Treads Street Rods has a class action suit impending on them. You must be confused. You oughtta get your facts straight before impliing that there is a false suit against anyone.

Got to agree with you there, Bigblock, it's not a good idea to evenmention something like that unless you're pretty sure - bad news travels fast, good news doesn't usually travel! Again, I would reccommend New Age to anyone that asks because I give BIG credit to Ed for doing EVERYTHING he could to rectify my problems ( case closed) and for making sure they didn't happen to the next guy. Mistakes happen with everyone but not everyone does what Ed did."nobody likes a top on a roadster, but it's nice to have one in the trunk when you need it!"See us at www.topsters.com

i THINK you should reread Delaney post. he NEVER implied that there was a suit, he only ask IF there was one because SOMEONE ELSE had told him that there possibly was one.
I have been told
bigblock it was great u cleared up this mistake, but in a sense it seems odd that u joined seven months ago and said nothing untill now only to defend ur friend. i hope this isn't the one & only post u'll make for the next seven months....joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

I'm the happy owner of several big block powered muscle cars, and do not intend for this to be my last post.
Yes, you may be right about his "question", but realize it reads like a headline and bad news travels fast, therefore degrading true, honest companies like that.

Yep I have a New Age body myself. They are great to work with and are some good people too.
My thread on this web site shows some of the car. As well as the pics posted in the Gallery.
