Don't forget to get agreed value insurance. Some companies do not offer it. You may have to turn to a specialty insurer. Agreed value covers your loss to a pre-agreed maximum or full vale amount. The specialty insures are very good at establishing the true value of cars like yours. They may request a report from a local appraiser. If your coup is stolen or totaled in a wreck a regular insurance policy will not pay you anything like your car's true value be it $35K, 50K, or 75K.An Old California Rodder

ok i uploaded a few pics. I have a few more questions. first theres only one tail light. is that correct or is one missing and is it ok to drive with one tail light. and my other one is the "floorboard" is a piece of plywood that had cut outs for the shifter and stuff like that. is that correct?

Your's is a Standard, Model B. One tail light, painted instead of plated windshield frame, single wiper instead of two. Do a google on 1932 Ford, Deluxe vs Standard, you'll learn more.
Cali probably allows single tail light since it's original to the car as built.
Yes, plywood floor is original. As the story goes, ol' Henry, being a thrifty soul, demanded his suppliers ship the parts he got from them in plywood boxes to his specification. He then had a crew carefully disassemble the boxes and cut the floor boards, thus saving on material costs.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Yeah, Bob, that would be just like Henry. He came up with some really great ideas, but could be a cheap skate when he figured out how to get by with it.Duane S

Brookville Roadster makes reproduction metal floor parts (same as original manufacture) that will fit your coupe. Bitchen makes hot rod style replacement metal floor parts. If you are talking about the wooden floor boards get some plywood and make your own. You can use the old wood for a pattern or make cardboard templates. As I recall the thickness is 3/4". Most home and garden centers (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc) sell plywood in 1/2 and 1/4 sheets. Good first project. An Old California Rodder

I have some great plans for the floorboards that were in the V8 Times. I will dig them out and e-mail them. There should be a metal cover that goes over the trans and emergency brake lever. Do you have it? I believe you car was produced late in the production. Looks like you have a beep horn. That was Nov-Dec. production I think. You have a dash that has the raised belt. The early cars had a recessed belt. Every thing I see in your pictures looks perfectly stock. Only thing missing is the pin striping. The car might have been repainted. The black on the body moldings is right.

Here's one source for "stuff". His site doesn't list all that is available so a catalog would be useful. http://store.bobdrake.com/19321.htmlYour Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

G'day , well mate wot a find ! I've been rodding downunder for over 35 years and that dream find has still not happened.
Years ago the advice would've been..... rip the fenders off ...... channel it etc etc but as others have advised ' let it be'
Whatever you decide .. remember you are the custodian of a piece of history.
Enjoy it and thanks for sharing !
