Ok, Ravon has started my body chassis stage 3 set up.
So what should i get started on so i will be ready in feb to assemble?

Then a 700r4 trans for a local trans shop for $600 rebuilt with converter, is that a good price?
Is that a good set up?
Then should i buy a seat?
elec wiring?
dash guages?
Steering wheel and column?
Where do i start?
I want everything here and ready for the build.
HELP - 1st time out of the box here.

the trans sounds like a good price and a good idea to have the overdrive. Start with the body, especially if it is fiberglass, there not good out of the box, they will need a lot of final finish work.

I would have the body till feb i was looking for things i and do till then.

get a collection of parts, gauges, colum, wiring harness, gas tank if it dose not come with the body and chassie. Don't buy steering colum until you are ready to set it up, so you can buy the right length to make it at a comfterble angle for you.

Bowtie Overdrives makes a really slick kit to adapt the 700R4's tv cable to your carburetor. I used it on my build and was impressed with both the quality and the function. For $99.00 I got the kit plus a new tv cable that is longer than stock. Check it out. I highly recommend it.

The chevy dealer called me a said the crate mortors were going up $600!!! So i went down a got the 330 hr dlex has everything but headers. Ok now i have a 55 cad bat wing air cleaner i want to put on it and run a paper filter (not the oil bath) but the bottom does not fit. So i guess i need to weld something up. Anyone dont this? Then i want to run old corvette valve covers
But i have center bolt heads. Does any one make a adapter for this?

Chevy has the valve cover adapters you need but they are pricey. I think Street & Performance has them to. But I would try summit or Jegs first.

As I recall, the Corvette valve covers do not have the fittings for a PCV valve, fresh air intake or oil filter. Problem. You will need an intake with an oil filler tube that will double as a fresh air intake. And you will need to plumb the PCV to a fitting welded to the oil filler tube or to a fitting tapped into the manifold.

SoCal Speed Shop may have the intake you need. The one they have in their catalog is for the early heads but you can elongate the center holes to fit.

Or, you can run Mooneyes valve covers, like mine, that come with the fittings. Not as cool, but a lot easier to set up. I have replaced the ugly rubber hoses with polished stainless steel tubing.

You will like the Ravon body. First class stuff.

I am not familiar with stage 3 chassis, what all do you have now would sure determine what you need. Sounds like you have a great project in the works.

Note: This intake will not work with Vortec heads. If your stock intake is secured with eight vertical bolts, two at each corner, you have Vortec heads. I am running Vortec heads on my roadster and that is one reason I have the Moon valve covers.

Yes i have Vortex heads. On the passenger valve cover it has a pc valve and a filler>>> on the driver there a hole in the valve cover wthat's that one for? As you see i got the 55 cad bat wing air clener to work, The bace of the cover has a tube for a hose do i need to block that off and weld it up? now this is all i have of my 32 hehe well i have a shift knob and V8 emblem

Splice in a connector under the air cleaner and run a line from the hole in the driver's side valve cover to it.

The PCV valve uses engine vacume to suck out combustion gasses that get past the rings. The line from the air cleaner to the opposite valve cleaner provides replacement air. The engineering intent is a flow of air from one valve cover down through the crank case and out the other valve cover. This movement of air draws out moisture as well as combustion gasses and helps to prevent internal rust and the formation of grease like deposits. If you do not want to run a line to your air cleaner you can buy a plug in cap like vent from just about any hot rod supplier. These caps are not as good, in my estimation, as the hose because the air intake filter does a better job than the mesh in the cap. But what do I know.
