working on my 3window
Ok so i dont have it yet but i am working on the drive train and all that stuff i can get before it gets to me in feb or march.
I want to put in heated seats for my back.
Who makes them?
And then what wiering kit should i get?
I want heat and a/c , radio . wipers, head lights and inside light , Brake light. elec fan,and etc.
Who make a good kit that i can understand.
Elec is not my thing?
Should i do a w/g seat or a van seat?
I want the seat to move back and forth.
I have all my drive train getting a class 3 frame and body ravon.
Iwill have 5k left to get it running.
i hope i have most the big stuff.
Let me know what i can buy now and have ready for the car
please tell me the maker and how much if you know.
THANKS for all the help Dave

Painless makes a good wiring harness, Dave. All the wires are labeled and it even comes with instructions!! I'm not the best on electrical either and I can make it through one of their installs.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Learning must be difficult for those who already know it all!!!!

what size do i need a 15 or 20?

you will need a fuse for each circuit. so you'll have to start counting. ignition,ac, heat, stereo, headlights and taillights, and all the other stuff you will be installing. its best to have everything fused. and if you buy the 20 circuit. if you don't use it now you might later. it sounds like you will have lots of circuits running. good luck jason

I have a Glide bench seat in my deuce and like it a lot but don't buy their foam kit. If you want you can have mine to fab it if you want--it is not good enough quality foam to use in a finished seat, and I used it basically to have something to sit on while I drove it to work out the bugs. As for wiring, I used Centech. Like Painless, all the wires are labeled and the instructions are very thorough. I have had no problems with the wiring. Everything worked when I started it up for the first time. Their tech support guy is a street rodder, too.

I used American Autowire for my 34 3 window. Very easy, every circuit is in a separate package, with a couple pages of instructions. Once you finish that circuit, you open the next package. I used Painless on my Cobra, and it was much harder. The 3 window has more circuits, but was much easier.

What I like about American Autowire is they give you color wiring diagrams which I find very helpful.

I also used American Autowire on my '59 Apache...Highly recommended...very easy to work with and understand, good quality, and very helpful tech support (if you need it).

what do you have?
here is a quick list that you are going to have to address,It gets worse if you plan on having a little bling bling. They say 32,33,34`s are the most expensive to build.I can write this from experience as I have bought all those parts for my 33 and I still have quite a bit of glass work to do cause its an older body and never built.Don`t want to discourage you cause they are still the coolests cars on the road, just a little heads up,good luck and remember there is qiute a few rod builders on this site with lots of experience and are ready to help again Good Luck

Right on! Most guys building rods end up paying for big bucks for shipping, looks like thats money you will save.I have to agree with Rum Rumm on the Glide seat foam. I bought my seat with, but am using a "mexican blanket" for a couple "shake down years" then will change out the foam. And will also be running with a base coat for a few years til momma forgets how much we have spent on it and lets me get interior done and also painted. You sound like you have thought this through and also come across as pretty resoucefull so all I can say is GO FOR IT
