More Info...
This is a really hard question to answer without more information... What size wheels are you planning on using front and back (14s, 15s, 16s, 17,s, etc.)?... What do you expect to be the ride height of the car to be?... Are you planning on installing an Independant Front Suspension or a drop axle?... If it is a drop axle, how far is it dropped?... The answers to these questions will get you started in the right direction...

Thanks for the answer, here are some information, i,m not sure what wheels sizes to use maybe 14 fron and 15 back or 15 front and 16 back, but what i,m locking for is to have a low stand with tires that fills the rear fenders well! I like to have a traditional low standing street rod. Im going with a 4" dropped i-beam axel 46 " wide I have find out that many use 235/70-15 or 255/70-15, but i have also seen specifiaction on a car that looks good that hade 285/70-15

Welcome aboard Ulf. Is this something like the look you're after?
You're going to tax my memory here, but if I remember right the fronts were 195/60-15, the rears 235/70-15. The front axle was a 46" tube with a mono leaf, the rear was a touch wide so that's why those wheels don't have much positive offset. The rear offset is critical for getting that "full" look. The fronts I try to center in the fender as you look at it from the front. Some like to have it off center to the outside, but when you get 'em low enough I feel the clearance is important.
BTW, I'm curious too why you didn't go with the Reprosteel bodies from your country.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Check out the October 2003 issue of Street Rodder magazine. There is very informative article starting on page 68 that gives some ideas on matching wheel and tire sizes. Also, a photo of different combinations on three different cars - one being a roadster. Good luck!!You don't know the subject well enough if you can't explain it to your grandmother - Albert Einstein

Bob
Right on target there with the pic of the 32. Is that your car?
The Reprosteel body is a litle to much work for my skills and time.

Ulf, it was my car, I sold it a couple years ago. That picture and some others are in my gallery. You can access an idividual's gallery by clicking the camera icon next to their name. Or look at all the galleries by clicking the link on the home page (the orange '32 highboy).
Interesting comment on the Reprosteel. The fellow representing them here in the States claims they will need less body work than the Brookville. Of course he only gets the components right now because the guy over your way apparently doesn't have time to assemble bodies, just punch out panels. Still, it's quite an achievement just to produce something like this in steel.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I used 255-70x15 and 195-60x14 on my 32 roadster and they worked great, and I'm using the same on my 5-window except white walls. This is the car (if I can post it right!!)"nobody likes a top on a roadster, but it's nice to have one in the trunk when you need it!"See us at www.topsters.com

Yo Streets! I'll tell yuh, we've modified a few to fit a couple of unusual applications, so anything's possible! If you E-mail me I can send you a "measurement sheet" and you can compare the measurements on it with your car to see how far it's off (and guaranteed they'll be off - Topsters are designed for 32 's!) and where you'd have to modify it. The hardest part to modify is the windshield header, and you'd pretty much have to use a wood one cuz the two piece aluminum ones are designed just for the Duvals and the stock style windshield posts."nobody likes a top on a roadster, but it's nice to have one in the trunk when you need it!"See us at www.topsters.com
