    Question 32 grill mounting

How do I mount the grille (32) to the shell? I haven't found any info and I hate to screw up the stainless grill experimenting.
With a little luck (and a lotta work) I think I may make it to the state run in May.
    Thanks,
    Jim

Mine "Vintiuqe" has 2 holes on each side of the grill flange, you simply insert the grill into the shell, mark & drill the holes on the shell and mount the grill with the supplied stainless hardware....

    Howdy Jim,

I bought my steel shel and stainless grill from Bob Drake. I just pressed/worked mine into place by hand with the shell on the floor, marked the four holes, and drilled for #12 stainless sheet metal screws. Seems like the bigger worry will be putting it back in place after the shell is painted. Still never done that yet!

PS: I've got the windshield posts drilled now so I am no longer in need of a pattern. I appreciate you though!

    Thanks and Sorry

    Kitz,
Thanks for the info on the grille mounting procedure.
Sorry I didn't get the pattern to you. It seems every time I tried to get in touch, the system was down or some other problem. I am going to go with a 2" chopped windshield myself. After looking at the options (including wearing goggles), the best bang for the buck is the original style, and you have several options on tops and even side curtains (you gotta have A/C in Texas).

HWORRELL, thanks to you too, it looks great minds think alike.

P.S. Topster guy has a very good set of diminsions for the cockpit/windshield area for '32.
