    32 steering gearbox

I have read of guys using the steering boxes and columns out of 50's Ford trucks but has anyone tried opne out of a car?
I ask because I have a 1950 Ford sitting in a field close to here that the owner told me I could strip anything I want off it because he is just gonna bulldoze it underground as soon as his Cat is repaired.
The steering is intact on that car.

I'm sure someone has used one, but they are not the right configuration to use with a drag link steering, as used on earlier Fords. The '32 and the later Ford trucks (up to about 1956) used a steering box with the arm to the side of the frame rail. The '50 Ford uses one where the arm goes straight down, and the box bolts to the inside of the frame rail.

It really isn't the one you want for a '32. However, take the motor if it is a V8.
